Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of our live chat software platform. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for integrating APIs, managing databases, and ensuring the seamless operation of our admin area and client portals. You will work closely with frontend developers, API providers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building and designing advanced web applications, using state-of-the-art technologies, for the back-end.

• Cross-functional team collaboration to design, define, and ship new features

• To use and work with outside APIs and data sources

• To perform automated tests to ensure usability, robustness, edge cases, and general reliability

• To work and make sure improved application performance and bug fixing

• Continuous evaluation, discovery, and implementation of new technologies to maximize the efficiency of development.

• Support Customer efforts in the development of tools and Open Source software, always that Developer skills could be applied for such tools and Open Source software development.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.

• Proficiency in NodeJS, MongoDB, PHP, Laravel, Laravel Nova.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating them into web applications.

• Solid grasp of database management systems, particularly MySQL.

• Knowledge of WebSocket technology.

• Experience with email handling and integration with services like MailGun and Drip.

• Knowledge of web hosting platforms and server management, preferably DigitalOcean.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Knowledge of Git version control.

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills, both technical and non-technical.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Good to Have:

• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices for infrastructure automation and scalability.

• Understanding of GDPR compliance requirements for hosting and data management.
